Which one?

If you had $450 to spend, which trail camera would you chose to get and why? I bought a Cuddeback Expert last year and like it, but I am having problems with the battery plate and a couple other small things. I have heard great things about the Bushnell and the new moultrie cameras. Please let me know which one you would choose. Thanks in advance.

RE: Which one?

My expierence with moultries have been good. I haven't tried the new moultries, but the reviews that I read on chasingame were pretty good. Moutrie is known for an inexpensive camera that does a good job on performance.

I'm currently using my 23rd digital trail camera. If I had $450 and wanted to buy a camera right away I would by a Camtrakker Digital Ranger.

If I could wait a little while I would wait for the next camera from Trail Watcher, which is supposed to use the Sony W35.

If I had $450 to spend on a new trail camera, I'd forget about the one's on the market and build two of three of my own. From what I've been reading on them and the photos I've seen from the homemade one's, that's the way to go ;) They say their pretty simple to build and all you really need is a little time on your hands.

You can build a digital trail cameraforabout $150, depending on how much you spend on acamera. Check out, real deal hunting chat to find the forum about building one.

I would do one of two things, either spring for 3 Stealth Cam I450s or get a Digital Camtrakker. You either end up with 3 reliable cameras that take so-so photos, or one extremely reliable camera that takes great photos. Your pick.
