My tip is...hope it works longer than mine, which was less then 2 weeks.
Make sure you face it north or south.

sure...they work fine..i own about 9 of them...great little trail cams

1-point it north or south...never east or west
2-use the test funtion and make sure it is pointing right at about where the deers legs meet there body...this will give you a good pfr reading from the deer
3-put the film in correct and use either 400 or 800 fuji (works best IMO) make sure when you turn the unit to test, you will hear the film wind..make sure it says "0" and not "E" if it says "E" then the film did not take
4-set either to date or time stamp (won't do both) and set time and number of pictures to be taken.
5-use good batteries or rechargable ones (makes it last longer)

good luck!

I also have 2 that work well the only thing that I can add is when you mount the camera on the tree it's alright that it is pointing a little down this will help the pictures . here's one from mine .
