Seeking advice

I got a cheap 35mm Stealth Cam and it's not working properly. I can put new batteries in it and load a roll of film. The film will advance and the "0" will appear on the front. But after that I can't get it to pick me up on test mode and when activated I can't get it to take any pictures. Is there a simple solution or is the camera ready for a quick toss in the garbage?

Anyone else have one of these do this?

I'll definitely stick w/ my leaf river and moulties.
