moultrie i40 whiteouts

i see that everybody seems to be having whiteout issues with these cameras. does the direction the camera is pointed seem to matter with the whiteouts or is it all the same? like if you face it south theres more whiteout, etc. this is just an example. ive had my i40 since last wednesday and i have not had a whiteout yet. of course ive only had it for a week. seems to take excellent pictures though. just bought some camouflage tape today to help conceal it a little better.

on my cam (not a moultrie) I sometimes get whiteouts right when its dark enough for the flash to turn on. The lens must absorb more light then, too much.

I think it happens to all cameras. On Chasingame it said they occur around sunrise/set becauseit does not know whether the flash should go off or not. You can fix it by setting it up in a more open area where it can get more sunlight.
