Catching a thief........

Hi everyone

I am looking to buy a spy camera to catch a thief, but I was wondering will he see the flash at night or hear the "click" when a picture is taken ?

Thanks.

Moumoute it will all depend on how much you want to spend. I would not recomend a comercial trail cam for this purpose. You will probually need to go IR so that the flash will not attract attention. Even in saying that, if they are looking at the camera, they will still notice a red glow.

This question has been asked many times on another forum. What many do with a home brew trail cam is build it so that it will fit into something like a Bird House so that it will not look out of place or attact pecial attention. Now others have gone either with comercial DVR's (digital video recorders) or build their own. Some of these cameras are wireless (1 000') so your recrder can be placed at a different location and be secured so the thief can't damage it, even if they see and steal the camera.

Hope this helps you some and gives you more info .......... Did I say .....I HATE THIEVES

Put one of these out in front of the camera and he'll still be there when you go to check on the camera. Unless he gnaws his leg off.

Thanks guys

The trap is a good idea but I think that a picture of my mother in law would be much better(she is so ugly that.......oups the wife coming up the stairs.

Thanks again
