Cuddeback's

We're considering upgrading to a cuddeback trail camera, but we're not sure which model would be best. I personally like the no flash, but i've heard a lot of mixed reviews on it... What do you guys suggest, I know some of you have cuddebacks and i love the pictures it takes... any advice would be greatly appreciated....

what do you think of homebrew's?? We're also considering building one with an actual camera inside it, are there any real problems you guys ran into with a homebrew?? From what i've heard they're the most reliable....

Yes, the homebrews will beat the Cuddeback as long as you use a decent camera and it is constructed well. I suppose you could booger up a homebrew up enough that it wouldn't perform well. You can also buy trail cameras that use a Sony camera for not much more than you would spend on a Cuddeback and have a much, much better camera.

The biggest problem I see with the homebrew is that building one is not for everyone. On the other hand if you can do it you get a nice camera and a good feeling about building it yourself.

My vote is to either build the homebrew yourself or buy one that uses a good Sony camera in it.

If any of you are interested, I have a couple used Cuddeback Experts models that I would sell for $200 each. These units were the ones I used just this past season and take an excellent pic!

This was one of the latest photos from one ofour Cuddes.
