Pretty neat. I'm going to try that with a hog.

Well, I guess I was wrong that there wasn't anything out there big enough to drag the carcass off. The day after I put it out there were several pictures with buzzards picking on it, then I got a couple pictures of a coyote investigating it and then it was gone! Poof!! I looked around for it for a while and would have thought that the smell would have allowed me to find it but it must have been either picked clean or drug off a ways. I found a few patches of hair but nothing else.

After the deer was gone I got a couple other pictures of a deer smelling the ground where the dead deer had been and a couple of a coyote looking around but that was it.

Of course somehow after looking at the pictures on my computer out on the property I put the card with the pictures back in the camera and brought the blank one back home so nothing to post now. [&:]

I'll post them in a couple weeks or so next time I go check on things.

FWIW, Nathan

Yotes will drag a deer without any effort especially if its a pack of them. Is it possibly a cougar? That would be insane to get a pic of and then a shotthey'd make one heck of a rug.
I have also tried the deer carcass thing when I first got my camera, but I made the mistake of putting out the camera right away then took it down after two weeks. two weeks later I was out doing somthing and all that was left was the top of the skull and the skin.... and it was moved 70 yards

I got the pictures off the card today. Here is the last picture with the carcass in front of the camera:

The way the camera is set it takes 3 pictures in rapid succession then waits a minute and if there is still movement it takes 3 more pictures, etc. Well evidently it took the coyote less than a minute to drag the deer off because that's the last I ever saw of the deer.

Here's a picture of the buzzards eating on it:

There are some other pictures on my photo gallery. New pictures start on page 3 - http://padens.com/ipw-web/gallery/trailcams?page=3

Thought I would update the post with the pics I got.

I still haven't ever been out there at night yet. I really need to get a decent spotlight and do some raccoon hunting though. Maybe even try some night pig hunting.

Your brother have any tips on raccoon hunting?

Look at your pics to see when they are comming at night. Go with a (smaller if its just you)flashlight and .22 with a scopeat night. They will probably be by your feeders if you have them up or just spotlight the fields and you'll find them.
