Homebrew pics
Downloaded one of my cams, pretty happy with some of the pics. Kind of a boring time of year around here, have to put out carcasses to have some excitement. I put these on another forum, but just wanted to show them here too.

RE: Homebrew pics
The camera is a sony s40 paired with a whitetail supply xlp control board in a 1020 pelican case.
That owl worked over that ribcage like you wouldn't believe. He picked that up and flopped it all over. And it was a big whitetail my buddy shot. The other carcasses are skinned beavers, coyotes love beaver, but they have been pretty wiley. Lots of coyote tracks circled that beaver for about two weeks before one came up and tripped the sensor. They are smart buggers. |
RE: Homebrew pics
here are a couple more of the owl, someones mutt apparently not under their control being this is my property, and a little buck that had not dropped yet.

RE: Homebrew pics

RE: Homebrew pics
Very nice pics, I love the Owl!:)
|
RE: Homebrew pics
how much did it cost you to make that one? becuase those pictures are the best ive seen!!
|
RE: Homebrew pics
Aside from the soldering iron, solder, marine goop, the needed "stuff" to do it, it cost about $170.
Here is my latest cam, with my first 3D camo job. This one is in a bigger case so it can hold extra batteries for longer life in the woods. I haven't cleaned up the glass yet. But if you do self camo jobs, you can buy black cases for under 15 bucks and a tuble of Liquid Nail and some paint. Cheaper than paying for camo dipped cases for 25-40 bucks. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
