That would be more of a real time hunting setup. It would let you know that a deer is headed your way on a real time basis when you were sitting on a stand waiting.

Still not something I would use, but that's it's purpose.

Your right! Pretty useless as far as I'm concerned. But you'd be surprised at how many guys fall for these kind of gadjets.

I like to be surprise when deer show up. Its the thrill of the unexspected. Its amasing how such a big animal can be so quiet.
