i maid a kind of small bait pile that isn't workin all that good for them, i have seen red grays and bastard foxes here around the house as well as a few coyotes

What would be a bastard fox? And what do you put in the bait pile? sixeight

RE: Gray Fox

bastard fox are what we call the crosses between red and gray foxes up here. and i put some very old steak in it (like 3 years) but today i went with hamburge because its bloody and the blood should draw them in better

RE: Gray Fox

i beg to differ i am 90% sure its a gray itsno where near the size of any reds i have seen up here and i put the old steaks under the pine bows to keep them there longer

Thats a gray fox for sure -

Feathers strewn about really draws them in too. And any fox urine willmake it a much better setup.

thanks, he only seems to come to it when i take the 4 wheeler out to change the batt. or frshin the meet. i have another picture of him in the "predator contest" post but i switched the cameras because my old one does better in the cold so it isn't as good from a quality.....

RE: Gray Fox

Bastard fox? Is that possible since a gray fox is a member of the cat family and the red a member of the canine family? Never seen or heard of anything like that around here.
