What type of hay/feed is that, and what is in the trough feeder that they aren't eating? It's interesting if they are eating alfalfa and not eating corn/deer chow in late winter.

I believe it is regular alfalfa. The deer do not prefer one over the other. If you see them eating the alfalfa on the ground it is mixed with corn. It was dumped there yesterday from a cart that use to be there and then corn was put on top.
