RE: 8pt do I shoot? (pic)
It all depends on your personal hunting situation. I wouldn't, but I don't have to worry much about anyone else shooting him. If you do, then you might want to consider it.

RE: 8pt do I shoot? (pic)
If you have been seeing him for that long he may get a little better. But if he is pushing 5 years he will be on the downhill before long. I would imagine he would be at his potential by now.

RE: 8pt do I shoot? (pic)
I would kill him if he is no bigger than that at 4 years old

RE: 8pt do I shoot? (pic)
That deer doesn't look to be 4.5 years old. He's to skinny. If anything he is alot younger or way older. Looking at his head and the his shoulder blades he looks old. But his legs are really long looking like a young deer. His face and that skinbetween his armpits looks like he's old. He may be on his way down.

If you don't have to worry about someone else taking this buck then it's all up to you. You can let him go for another year and see what happens. Me personally I would take this buck. I don't see the potential for much growth.
