I have a leaf river digital camera, DC 2bu. I like it have had it for about 3 years. Batteries last about 4 or 5 months depends on weather temps. I would get the IR model if you could want scare deer off with the flash at night time.

I just got one a few weeks ago. I have a home brew 35and a cudde expert. I like the trigger speedon my cudde but I have to say I'm liking this LR more and more every time I use it.It has around a 2 sec trigger which isn'tsupper slow but you can miss a deer ifit's moving fast. I've taken 150 pics so far and I've maybe had7 or8with nothing in them. As far as setting it up goes it's supper easy. Easier than my cudde. Just strap it to the tree, hit theON button, and leave.Getting the settings logged in was easy as well. Just follow the instruction book. Takes about 2 minutes to go through all the menus.I can tell you this as well, their customer service dept is awesome. I had the cam on a wrong setting and couldn't figure out why it wasn't taking pic's correctly. Including dialing the number they had my problem resolved and I was back to business in about 3 minutes. I was very impressed. I've been hearing some bad stuff on the cudde's customer service.
Below is a pic of a buck I got last week with my IR.

I have a 3BU as well as several others and for a little more than $400 you can get a real nice camera. One of the best that I've used is the Trail Watcher. You can read my reviews of both cameras and read more about the Trail Watcher at www.trailwatcher.net.
