Change in Picture quality???
 

I have a couple of Wildview VGA2mp camera's and I was just wondering what would cause a decline in the picture quality... just a few days ago I got the first picture on my camera and you can see how clear it came out but then just today I had thelast twopictures on my cam and all the pictures on it were just as dark? Any suggestions as to why the pics would decline in quality like that??

Also it was abright clear night with nearly a full moon last night so I thought that would make the nighttime pictures clearer, but could that have had the oppisite affect??

Looks like some deer are out of the flash range.

last deer are to far, those cams are good for the day and a corn feeder at night.

I didn't think that the problem was the distance they are from the camera because you can easily make out the doe in the background in the first picture and it is a lotfarther away than the doe in second and you can barely see her...

The one probably has a low battery which is affecting the flash. And is making it have a short range.

No, it is not a lot further. It may appear to be , but it isn't. And looking at your pics, yes, the first one is a little bit clearer, but that is with a fresh battery, and no sticks in the way.

The small amount of sticks in the middle and edge of the pics, can reflect the light from the flash, and cause the flash to reflect back to the camera which weakens it. Note: there are no sticks or anything in the first pic. I have been using the game cameras for a few years, and these types of things are what I had to learn by trial and error. It also matters where the forward deer trips the trigger mechanism. How close it is to the camera, and if it is centered or off to one side.

The first picture the deer is a lot closer and the flash was able to light her up. The following 2 pictures the deer are too far for the flash and that is why they appear so dark. As for the moonlight, once the flash goes off moonlight is not a factor.

I also have A Wildview 2.0


The flash range is only 15 ft.

They have to be on top of the camera to get a good pic at night.

When the batteries are really weak it will not flash. But the real problem with your pics is distance. The deer are too far. I get pics like that all the time.
