Same Deer or Not?

My father and I can't agree on this one so I thought I would ask everyone here for some outside opinions. Here are the pics of the 11 pointer I got this year. http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/555965896tSqgStThenattached is a picture we got off our camera a couple months ago. We only got this one picture of this guy. He just never came back to give us a better look. My dad says that this is the same buck that I shot. I am still not convinced that it is the same deer. To me the G2's and G3's look too close inlength to be the same deer. Maybe I just want to think we have another nice buck out there that will grow up to be nice and even bigger next year or maybe my dad is right. Let me know what you think.

A little hard to tell from the angle of the trail cam pic, but I think your deer looks a little larger to me. The tines look taller too.

I think it is the same deer.
Set the horns up in the backyard at the same angle and take a picture for comparison

definetly not the same deer. The deer you killed has a big sticker off the left G2. Save the picture to your desktop, and zoom in on the picture of the live deer. No sticker on his left G2. Definetly not the same buck!

I'd say different deer. too many different differences (kicker pt, mass, tine length etc) that you can't allot to different angles. Now if this was from the previous year... Maybe.

It's hard to tell. I'd say its the same one, but we have pictures of buck with alot of similarities like these two have so, it could be the little brother to the one you shot. Either way, that's a damn nice deer you shot.

They are very similar. Beyond that it is a guessing game. I hope your luck continues next year.

i think they're different... your buck looks bigger. Your bucks tines are longer and more spread out... and i agree with the comment about the sticker point too. It would help if you could get a picture of the antlers at the same angle as the picture.....

RE: Same Deer or Not?

I say they are different deer, it appears that your buck has longer tines and it also appears that the one in the pic has a wider spread than yours. Its hard to tell and I guess the only way you will know is if you get that bruiser on cam again this year.

no cause if u look at your deer the g2 on the right side is smaller then the g3 in the pic it looks like the g2 is larger then the g3
