coyote and other predators
I was thinking that if I shot a deer this year i might put a trail cam on the scrap pile (gut pile).
anyone ever try this?
and dose anyone have some thoughts on doing it?

I've thought of doing that for the last two years. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
I think it would be cool to see what comes to eat. Where I an the gut pile is usually gone
by the next morning. I'll have to take the camera with me so I don't forget. If you get the
pics please share.

I got my bobcat pictures by setting the camera to watch a rabbit hole. Also got some on a favorite rabbit run. The area is brushy woodsand has lots of places for the rabbits to hide. Rabbits = bobcats around here anyway

awesome lets see those pics! my gut pile from saturday was already gone by tuesday, and my dad said there were no large tracks in the snow around it, so he was thinkin birds. we have alot of jays around here, canadian and blue, but i dont think they could have cleaned a gut pile in only a few days, my guess would be bear, coyote, wolf, bobcat, fisher, or bird of prey, but now i wont know til i get out and get another gut pile, i mean deer. post those pics if you can, those sound cool!
