New Toy

I got my 1:70 twist .58 caliber flintlock barrel back from Bob Hoyt yesterday for my Renegade stock. He made the barrel from scratch. All I had to do was blue it and put it in the stock. Hopefully I will be able to get it out this weekend and see how it shoots. Pics to follow

You're going to love that new toy Bronko.

This is what you can expect with a load of 85 grains of powder. She dropped on the spot and kicked around for about eight seconds.

Thats a pretty smoker Semi. Nice job on the doe! That .58 puts a nice hole in 'em.

What's the cost of that beauty of a barrel?

Hi , hope a few smokless shooters look at this the deer is about ready to eat and you can eat right up to the edges of the hole the same shot with a thuty ought six would look a lot different and the deer would not be more dead , for me the shot was a little far back how far did she run or was it DOTS .. Rob

She dropped at the shot Rob, dragged herself a few feet with her front legs, kicked the air a little bit, and took her last breath 31 seconds after the shot (I have it on video).
It does look a little far back with the carcass hanging and stretched out like that. But entry was in front of the diaphragm (always a good thing) and exit was just behind the front shoulder with her in a standing position. I hate busting a shoulder .
