Here in Pa.quality flinters bring a premium.Plus Traditions has been offering new flint models of flint rifles every several years.Which I commend them for.It can,t be soley for the Pa.arket.

There are no used sidelocks left in S.E. Louisiana because I bought them all. :s2:
A few years back when Louisiana and Mississippi added exposed hammer 45-70's, 444's and 35 Whelens to the guns allowed in our "primitive" season (that's not a joke) lots of sidelocks hit the local market at a good price. You don't see many of them these days. |

I've not been shopping actively for the past 11 or 12 months. T/Cs of all flavors were regularly selling around $400 a couple years ago; CVA Mt Rifles,USA made, were fetching $450+. Thought to sell a couple I simply do not shoot to partially finance a Jim Kibler kit...maybe not. I always considered that taking game with a sidelock was an accomplishment!!!!! |
