The way you say that (you haven't broken your back in 1 1/2 years) it seems like it's a regular occurrence! Maybe you ought to stop doing whatever it is that makes you keep breaking it.
I know my lower back is a mess. I even dread getting out of bed in the morning because I know by the time I get done bending and twisting to get dressed it will start to spasm. Sometimes even just standing up from the bed knocks me to my knees. Usually though once I get moving I'm OK. But occasionally I forget about it and do something stupid and it hits me again.

I have advanced Osteoporosis. (bone disease) I break bones easily.

Besides all the normal back problems you get at 74. I have a long list of medical problems, but i'm not whining. I do my best to ignore them all and stay positive.

Pete when I saw that pic you posted I didn't think much of it at the time. However, when I was out I got to thinking....I didn't think they had color photography that far back!

It will be close to 11lbs. The 1" barrel will keep it a little lighter. The real Carson gun had a 1 1/8" barrel that tapered a little bit. It was probably a 1.5 lb heavier.

That rifle looks so much like my GPR:

Had this one for years and love shooting it. Haven't had it in the woods yet, but maybe next year.
