One article I read is that they are pretty much the same rifle as the T/C New Englander except it has a pistol grip stock.I myself prefer pistol grip stocks and wish some f/lock rifles had em.

heard of them but never seen one. I got into News Englanders instead.

wow thats a great looking gun

OK pulled it out of the safe and the barrel is totally round, non octagonal at all.
Yes it is was my answer to failing eyes with iron sights. :D Al |

The High Plains Sporter was my first ML'er. :)
I traded it in on an MK-85 in '93 I think. Super glad I got the MK, but wish I had enough sense back then to have kept the TC. It was a pretty cool gun. I think I bought it in the late 80's. IIRC the twist was 1:48. |
The twist rate is 1:48 supposed to be a compermised twist. It shot 490 round balls about the same as a sabot with a 240gr. xtp.

Sporter.
LOL! I'v got one, think I asked the same question here at one point- it's a bit of a unicorn. Round barrel. Great rifle- a pleasure to carry afield, great shooter w/ Maxi balls out to 100+/- yds and a peep. |
