The .58

Boy I'm sure glad you guys turned me on to the .58 caliber. Prior the largest bore I've ever shot was the .54. And from what I've seen of other guys' targets and my own I think the .58 is a darn accurate weapon with PRB. And even with a 100 gr charge the recoil I would consider moderate at worse.
The target below was the first 3 shots using a 6 O'clock hold out of a clean barrel swabbing with a spit patch and dry patch both sides each between shots. To say I was pleased was an understatement. I'm all ready for those NC hogs come October.

Bronko, I love the .58 so much I have 2 of them. I shoot 110 gr of Schuetzen ffg in my custom and 90 grs in a little investarms that I picked up a couple years ago on the cheap.

Good shooting! What type of muzzleloader are you using?

That is some excellent shooting. And that charge is all you'd need. I shoot 110 grains out of my .58 caliber GMB and its super accurate as you mentions of that caliber. I can't wait for my custom .58 to show up.

TN - its a T/C Renegade stock with a Green Mountain 32" barrel (caplock) I believe it has a 1:70 twist rate.
