Colt 1849 pocket revolver .31

A fellow wants to include this as part of a trade however, I have no idea of current value.

Looks to have been shot minimally, with original box and owner's manual.
Originally purchased at a Gander Mt for $350 in 1994.

(unsure if this would actually have been manufactured by Uberti?)

5 shot with a 6" barrel.

Serial #s match.

Any info re: pricing/valuation as well as experience shooting this little gem appreciated.

I've never thought about owning a BP revolver before but this one does appeal to me.

My rule of thumb for valuing something like that is 2/3 of the cost (including tax) of a new one, if it's in like new shape. If you really want it there's nothing wrong with going above that.

That seems reasonable, though I usually go 50%- unless I really, really want it.

Seems like it would be fun to shoot, assuming .31 is readily available.

Pretty neat revolver. When I looked at the pic of it I sort of chuckled to myself because it is huge compared to today's "pocket" pistols.

They had bigger pockets back then.

Welp, I let it pass though it was in fine shape.

Probably regret it down the road but right now I have zero time for a new hobby...
