browning a barrel

i am planning on browning the barrel on my yaeger barrel soon and plan on using laurel mountain forge browning solution i have done other barrels with great success but was thinking about the application process and one of the possible problems is if you go over it too much or rub it too much at once it can what they call "copper" on you which is not too good for the process. or just getting a even brown tone has anyone that has done this ever thought of spraying it on with a light spray instead of wiping it on i think it will work well and plan on trying it any thought's or tips ? thanks !

I'm about to do my barrel too. It will be my first one, so I can't help much.

I'm going to just follow the instruction Laurel Mountain gives on their site.

well i finished my barrel and i'm very very pleased with how it came out it doesn't match the lock perfectly but it's close i couldn't redo the lock because of the engraving. theres one pic i have to resize that really shows the finish.

No, I had to sell the gun and go to an inline. My lower back is trash and I couldn't shoulder an 11lb gun with a long barrel anymore. As a matter of fact I broke my back a couple of weeks ago, so that reminded me how fragile my back is now.

Your barrel came out nice. Good job.

For some reason the pics are pixelated on my screen. But from what I can see it looks real nice. Good job.
