Is it allowed and the state..trying to compile a list of the total states that allow it.......fighting the antis in the last frontier!

Its allowed here, but only for the archery hunters, and you cant bait until the hunt begins, and only 1 bait station, which cant be metal or plastic.

Dan, is the AK DNR considering banning the use of bait for hunting black bear??

Michigan allows 3 bait stations per hunter starting 30 days prior to opening day. Only meat and meat products, bakery/confectionary products, fish and fish products prior to opening of deer season. Thereafter grain, fruits & veggies, salt and minerals may be used in limited quantities, i.e. less than 5 gal./station. Bait must be placed on the ground and containers cannot be used such as pails, tires, barrels, plastic, wood, glass, fabric, etc.

West virginia doesn't allow baiting, but you can use dogs.
