the perfect bow ?
 

Don't laugh. I shot one of these twice before buying one, and after I bought one I ended up buying 4 more of them. I've EBAY'ed away a couple and the risers etc ......... and I've ended up with a 62" Gamemaster with 3 sets of limbs, in 45#, 50# and 55# draw weights. For my hands, my shooting .......... this bow is IT. I've shot a lot of bows, and I'd rather have this than a Widow (gasp), a Robertson, a Morrison ........ even an ACS. I have mine set up shooting off the shelf, no sights. They can be a little loud and need the correct brace height, and I'll be getting the flat gel like Limb Savers or maybe some Mountain Mufflers, but other than that I have zero complaints.

I think you are finally figuring it out! lol Price, names, what works great for your hero or best friend--these don't mean that it will be the best bow for you. I think you have stuck with this bow longer than most any other also? That makes a world of difference too. I don't know anyone that can get the true feel for a bow in a couple of weeks. Buying/selling/swapping is lots of fun, but it takes a good bit of research to be sure that you are getting a bow that was built for your draw/grip/etc. With experience, I think most anyone can pick up a bow and know after a dozen shots if it's definately NOT for them (being sure that the bow is tuned, arrows are matched, etc.). Some bows just don't feel right in some folks hands--I've picked up bows and knew I didn't like them without even shooting them because of the grip--that is a big thing with me.

Anyhow, glad you have found THE one! I take it you are coming to Twin Oaks in a couple of weeks to get your proper trouncing on the range?[8D]

Chad - I'm moving into the new house - should close this Friday - and then I have only 3 weeks to prep it for our move in.

I aint ruling out Twin Oaks ........ just looking real tough right now, you know ?

I know how it is with a new house and all--bought three of them myself. Think I'll just find a cave if I ever have to do that again. Hope you can make it anyway! If not, there is still Cloverdale, the AL state championship, Lost Tribe (just a Saturday shoot, but pretty close to you--just outside of Memphis in Collierville, TN), and maybe a few more.

Next one is May 28th, then June 11th, July 16th, and Spetember 10th. Give me a holler if you plan to go to any of these--I try to go to as many as I can, but it's a 2 hr drive one way for me so I can't always make it. Real good people and a good course too. Usually short and trashy shots.

Does that mean a lot of trees, branches, etc between the stick and the target? Sounds like good practice for hunting!

Yepper Bill--they even have at least one quartering away deer, with the scoring rings marked appropriately. They have a charity shoot once a year---lots of prizes, with a bow to be raffled off also.
