biggest game

my set-up is a Shrew LB 54" 51#@26" (My Draw) 26.5" 2018's w/145gr BH total weight 528gr. I'm hitting 8 out of 12 @ 17yds for now. I am going to be putting in for Moose and Elk Tags just want to know if My Bow could do the trick.

Yes Plenty, there are folks out there dropping them with 50#, 45#, 47# bows, as long as your set-up is tuned and arrows flying great, should be no problem.

I would try to extend my affect range to 25 to 30. Good Luck, it would be an awesome feat.

I have never shot a moose or an elk, but I have talked to a lot of folks about it (I've been moose hunting, and had an elk hunt planned, so I researched it a good bit). I think you are on the low end of the scale, but if you have your arrows flying straight, razor sharp 2-blade heads, keep it close, and do your part you should be fine. I know a lady in PA that killed a record book gemsbok pulling 47@26 on her longbow. The didn't get a pass-through, but she did get full broadhead penetration. It was about the size of an elk, and from what I've been told it's probably tougher than either an elk or moose.

Good luck,

Chad

I know i have to reach out a bit more another 10yds or so, but that is what I'm at now. I still have to win the lottory(hahah 2.5 mill) Moose or Elk Tag by then I should be out to 25yds or so. I'm moving 2 yds at a time till I get 8 out of 12 then I move again.. Thanks for the replys
