question on Black Widow setup.

I am still new to Trad. I am setting up my bow. I just bought a bow square. I shoot a 63# SAII 60". What would you recomend as a good brace height and where do you measure from?

From the throat, where your hand goes. Not sure on brace height, call the maker.Probly between 6 1/2 to 8", the longer the more forgiving.

Brace height should be in between 8 and a quarter to 9inches. Good luck setting up.

RE: question on Black Widow setup.

I believe BW recommends a brace ht between 8" to 9" (measured from the deepest part of the grip). I keep my MA braced at around 8 3/4", & every BW recurve I've owned has shot great w/a 9/16" nock height.

Your optimum set-up may vary from mine so don't be afraid to experiment to see what works best for you. IMO Black Widow bows are among the most consistent out there, but we're all a little different in the way we shoot em.;)

RE: question on Black Widow setup.

I raised it from 7 3/4's to 8 3/4's and it is much more consistant as well as quieter. Thanks
