shooting trad again for the first time

I haven't shot trad since i was 14 and got tired of the compounds sooooo this xmas went ahead and started the long journey back to traditional. I did on the cheap just to make sure I wanted to do it and have found that I am again addicted i went the cabelas route ( pse kudo @55# easton legacy arrows and shooting off the shelf two fingers under) It seems like the is a lot of knowledge floating around here so i'll ask my first question am i overspined with 2219s at 28" pull 125grn heads arrow length 30"

I am just a little ahead of you...I'd recommend going to the Arrows By Kelly website and looking at his spine chart and reading his tuning tips..they are basic and geared for hunters but worked well for me.

There is also an SA Jackson site with and interactive chart I think from Easton....

Sorry I don't have either link but you should find them easily with a search.

Hmmm, at 55 I'd shoot 2016, mebbe 2018 tops. But I have a clean release (See? All that FITA stuff paid off in the end!) and don't believe in 300 grain broadheads. Try some more limber shafts- 2219 sounds way stiff to me.

How do you find the Kudu?

thanks jakes the 2219s are working just fine when i'm in the zone and release is perfect. i have not shot them with broadheads yet? but as far as the bow is concerned. i feel that for the price $229?? it is an absolute bargin. my plan is to hunt with it at least 1 season before shelling out some chaching for a really nice bow and set up the kudo for bowfishing
