First Broadhead help

OK, Have a Martin Hunter @ 42 lbs at my draw...shooting Easton 28" 2016 arrows with 125 gr field points...have found some feral hogs to hunt...and feel like it is reasonable to shoot 10 yards for me now. I need some broadheads and advice....I was planning on getting 125 gr screw in Snuffers but am open to advice.

Can I screw in broadheads or should I get the adapters and glue on the heads? How do I "spin them" to be sure they are good to shoot....I have borrowed a broadhead compatible target....

Thanks

With your bow weight and an animal as tough as a hog, you will want to go with a 2-blade, cut-on-contact broadhead (razor sharp), and an arrow that is flying perfectly straight for maximum penetration. The Snuffer is a good head, but requires more bow to push it on through. For a screw-in, Magnus Stingers come to mind. You can use either one--I'd stick to a screw in if the 125 grain points are flying well. When you add an adapter, you are adding weight, which can change everything as far as arrow flight goes.

I second chads advice on the magnus stingers. Some other heads to look into would be steelforce premiums.

I'll Third that also, Yes the Snuffer would work, but I think you would get better performance from a 2 bladed head.
