Changing Hands
I came to realization yesterday that I will have to change hands to be better than I am. My question is for those of you that have made the change, how long did it take for it to feel natural? I mean am I looking at more than a year? Just looking for some thoughts.

RE: Changing Hands
Hello
I switched from left handed to right handed and I bet within a month or two I was ready for the woods. I do a lot of activities with both hands so maybe that helped, but I'm sure if you practice often within two months you'd have it down pat. The hardest part for me was for the longest time you tend to grab the bow and the arrows with the wrong hand.
Good Luck

RE: Changing Hands
I've been learning to shoot left handed for the past couple of months. It took a couple of weeks before I got over the fumble-itis it felt semi normal, nocking an arrow with my left hand. I agree with dkbs, the shooting isn't the problem. It's getting used to using the wrong hands for the different chores.

RE: Changing Hands
Nautral? Man I cant fart left handed shew. All joking aside, we were playing around at the range last nite (30 yard indoor 3d) shooting at some wolf sized targets set out between 15 and 25 yards. I had the bright idea of trying to shoot my right handed longbow left handed...WRONG. Let me rephrase that, I ATTEMPTED to "shoot" it left handed. Man atleast I could hit the floor haha. That was extremely awkward, remember it was only for a few arrows. I felt like a newbie all over again. Aim, Draw, Anchor, relax, well that was what I was thinking anyways, execution left something to be desired
