First time hunting with hungarian bow
 

Noramally I only use my hungarian recurve bow for target practices, but I was invited by my grandfather to Quebec in middle of September for fishing and hunting.
So I made everything ready to fligh to Canada. After arrived in Quebec my both compound bows was gone,only my hungarian recurve was ther.

First I was thinking no huntig with this bow,this one is to traditional and not made for hunting. I was wrong, my grandfather told me: "Son , when you are not able to hunt with this bow your not a hungarian."(he is still a litle patriotic) So I had no other possibility to go on with my bow and try to be a hunter.
After a week I hade a caribou (473 pounds) with my recurve: 48lbs/28" , my gradpa was happy and me to.

So I changed my mind about traditional recurve bows.

Congratulations! Those bows will do the job as well as anything, as long as you do your part (and obviously you did). I know a lady in PA who got full broadhead penetration on a record book gemsbok with a 47@26 longbow, and a fellow in Wisconsin recently sent me pictures of a 650+ lb black bear he got a pass-through on with a 50@28 recurve. These bows never cease to amaze me!

Hi Chad,

thank's for your coments. I think now totaly different about the traditional bows. Few of my friends told me a year ago, to try a traditional bow for hunting but that time I was realy sceptical, but now I will use this type of bows more often. (this is also inportant for me to know the product I sell, normaly when somebody was asking about hunting with our traditional bow, I told the customer I have no opinion about hunting with this type of bow.)
