You're absolutely right, Chad.
OL's bows can't stay hot forever.
There's always a new design waiting in the wings. ;)
Retired and making bows to supplement your income is the best way.
Dale Dye is a retired sheriff and has cut back from 55 to 35 bows a year.
He just builds them mostly for enjoyment these days.

RE: Bowyer as an occupation ???

About 30 yrs ago Bingham used to make beautiful semi-finished bow kits. All the hard work was done and all one had to do was the final sanding and apply the stain and/or finish to the bows. They were solid, quality, stylish bows. I had 3 of them. Wish I still had them and that they nenver stopped offering them. They now just sell the blanks, glues, etc.

Wish they'd bring them back - they were beautiful and priced right!
