Will a recurve screw up my form?

I joined a recurve league just to have fun. Sometimes this target archery gets pretty serious. In your experiences could shooting a re curve bow with fingers, mess up my compound with back-tension form?

Your compound form will serve you well with a recurve. Don't fall into the crouch and grunt style of shooting. Just use your normal upright target style with the compound and the recurve. If you're a good back tension shooter, it will aid your recurve shooting immeasurably.

RE: Will a recurve screw up my form?

I think shooting my recurve helps my compound shooting ability and form. Years ago I got bored with just shooting my compound and switched to traditional(part time). I had the same concerns as you but found the traditional style helped some of my problems that were creeping up on me when I shot my compound. Like target panic for one. The instinctive shooting somehow reprogramed my brain and when I'd pick up my compound and sighted a target, the panic no longer bothered me. Don't ask me why because I have no idea how it worked but to this day I still shoot my recurve regularly.
