Bear Cub 48# longbow

Looking at a bear cub with a 48# draw.. this is my first traditional. Is it to much?
I know i can master it , it just may take ia bit of time.. But my question is this a good bow. I know its old but in near perfect condition..

I had a '57 Cub semi-recurve for a while, until somebody wanted it worse than I did and had the money to prove it. They aren't worth much except as shooters, so no worries about ruining a collectable. They're not as good a bow as a Kodiak or Grizzly, of course, but they'll do the job.

Whether or not it's draw weight is too much depends entirely on you. If you can draw it and hold a solid anchor for 15 seconds, you should be able to do well with it.

Could you tell me how much you would spend on the bow... I am left handed and this one of the few longbows I have found...

Just my opinion, of course, but I wouldn't pay over $100 for a Cub. Bottom line, you have to decide what the bow is worth to you.

Have you nosed around on Ebay and the classifieds at www.women-outdoors.com ?
