Dan Quillian self bow kit. Any good?

I saw this longbow kit by Dan Quillian and was wondering if anyone has seen or tried one. Looks like it would be good to just knock around with or keep at the office to pull back on to keep in shape and it's only $75.00!

Lurp,
I bought one from Dan on Ebay. He has them there for $60. I sanded it down, rounded the shelf (it comes flat) and put on 3 coats of Tru-Oil. This is the first longbow I have ever shot so this isn't an expert opinion - I like it. I still need to get a leather grip and bear hair rest but it's a surprisingly nice shooter as is.

Keep in mind the cost. It wouldn't win any beauty contests but I also wouldn't be ashamed to shoot it in public. Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Would be nice to try but I just can't take on any more projects right now!

You might check with Rogue River Archery (www.rogueriverarchery.com). I am 99.99% sure this is the same bow they carry (it is unless AT has changed suppliers). RRA does a little detail work to them before they ship--sometimes the tiller is off and they remedy that, clean up the string grooves, etc. and sell them for about the same price. I have shot several of these bows, and they do shoot suprisingly well. Keep in mind though--they are all wood bows, and not nearly as durable as laminated bows. RRA also offers kids and youth versions, and some low cost laminated bows from the same bowyer.
