Antelope w/ a recurve!!!
Has anyone hunted these goats w/ success...in the past only, got shots at 50 yards + with a slow compound!

RE: Antelope w/ a recurve!!!
I haven't hunted them with a recurve but have taken a few at less than 20 yards out of a ground blind on water holes. That should work well with traditional gear.

I haven't killed one w/a recurve either, but made a lucky stalk & shot one w/a longbow a few yrs ago.

made a lucky stalk & shot one w/a longbow a few yrs ago. I take my hat off to you, Sir! Very impressive, stalking within longbow range of a pronghorn. Well done!! Now THAT, gentlemen, is what I call HUNTING.:) |
RE: Antelope w/ a recurve!!!
Thanks Arthur, but just 'blind hawg syndrome' I think...

RE: Antelope w/ a recurve!!!
Hunted antelope last year with my recurve, had a nice buckwalk by me about 50yards, I need one within half that distance with my recurve, before I nock an arrow... Alot of fun to hunt and very challenging I might add... I shoot a long bow now and will be chasing after them desert goats(antelope) this coming season also...;)
