A 125 grain Ribtek did a dandy job for me on a whitetail this past season. Magnus, Ace, Stos........I like lots of different ones.

Like Chad said, lots of great choices in broadheads today. I'm sorta partial to the cut on contact ones like Zwickey, Magnus, WW, or Snuffers. Get em sharp & put em in the right place. Most any of em will do their part if we do ours.

I like the zwickey, but been looking at a new broadhead called an Eclipse broadhead, designed after zwickey, but taken a notch above-- harder steel and teflon coated...

I think the best heads are 2 blades, and the best all around ones are the Grizzlies. I also like Zwickeys and Simmons. That provides everything from 100 grain to 190, and everything from 1 1/8" to 2" in width.

I been making my own. Tradepoints. Been practising and trying different weights and design mods. The heavier ones on a heavy shaft penetrate like crazy. So far my heaviest is 185 grains. I think I will stay in the 165 to 185 grain range for larger game and maybe in the 145 grain range for birds etc..

The Eclipse is actually a Journeyman. When Journeyman Broadheads split up, Magnus bought the machines, the name and a license; Eclipse kept the designs and the rights.

The original Journeyman heads are my favorite two-blade.
