RE: Good Trade - Fedora for Crusader
Cool, LBR. Thanks.
Yeah, I don't know money wise either. I just know I like my original Crusader and wanted another one. The Fedora was a trade from my takedown recurve. Dang that thing was heavy; probably a couple pounds or so. Gotta love the longbows. Stealthy, MAYBE a consideration for the ACS something or another. |
RE: Good Trade - Fedora for Crusader
What about the take-down Crusader. I haven't seen one. Are there ugly boltholes somewhere?
I used to love that method of doing a takedow, but with the new joinery systems, I'm not so sure. Also, how does it feel weight and ballance wise. |

RE: Good Trade - Fedora for Crusader
Hey Ossage, I think Chad will chime in here shortly, but I have seen the takedown Crusader, and I dont think the bolt hole is ugly. If I remember correctly, the bolt is hidden under the grip. I hope to order a new takedown in the near future.

RE: Good Trade - Fedora for Crusader
The take-down Crusader looks identical to the one-piece, except for the phenolic riser. You see the head of one Allen screw on the back of the riser, but it doesn't stick out at all. It used to come with black glass only on the back of the limbs, to hide the take-down hardware, but if all goes well very soon you will be able to get one with veneer on the back of the limbs.
