there really is no standard but most of us do the throat of the grip. But many also do the back of the riser. Whatever you choose works just measure it the same way every time. Once you find your 'sweet spot' right it on the bow. If you sell it a little acetone will pull it off. It's worth the headache's espically if you swap between a few different bows.
