Who is up for it?
If you want in send me an email to [email protected] with your name and address.
All targets need to be returned to me by March 1st. My return address will be on the envelope with targets.
This is the deal you get 4 targets, #1-3 to be shot with 1 arrow on 3 consecutive days, (no warm up on any) target #4 to be shot on day 4 with 3 arrows. The scoring is self explanatory LOWEST SCORE WINS!
Prize? some of my home brew string wax.

Here are the rules that will be sent with targets.
No warm up, Distance 15 yards, Lowest score wins, Targets to be shot on 4 consecutive days i.e. Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs., Targets must be returned to me by March 01, 2002.
Targets #1-3 to be shot with one arrow
Example: T#1-day one 1 arrow, T#2-day two 1 arrow, T#3-day three 1 arrow, T#4-day four 3 arrows for a group score.

Pat,

Do I get to do some practicing BEFORE I start the four day shoot? I have a new longbow I recently purchased from Arrowsmit. I've shot it a total of maybe 30 times.

The only arrows I presently have are too heavy in spine. I have two test sets coming from RRA that should arrive any day. Can I practice with those until I feel comfortable that I have a set of three arrows I can shoot with and then start the four day cycle?

shoot all you want up until you start the four day cycle, if you need a filing extension on your targets fill out a FORM 1092-CM and send it in advance. hhahahahaha jsut kidding. I just wanted it to be a hunting shooting type situation.

Forgot to add when you get your targets NUMBER THEM #1-4 and put your name and MONIKER or handle on each.
LBR i will get yours to you.
Eric you did not send me your addy in Canada.
9 put in mail today plus myself and LBR makes 11. My score will not count but i want to play to.
3 more in the mail today 02-08-02 that makes 14.
6 more in the mail today 02-11-02 that makes 20.

Well I've shot day #1 and day #2 targets and it was a humbling experience. Clearly I've spent way too much time practicing at 20-30yrds and not enuf at 15yrds. I think I would have done better if I'd pinned them to the 25yrd bale. Or maybe it was just my mindset that in most target games high score wins. Either way, I'm not gonna set the world on fire unless something dramatic happens on day #3 & #4.

Today is the 14th. I will not be sending anymore targets as it is to late in the month.
I really look forward to getting them back for scoring. No matter what your score SEND THEM. If you want to put any other pertinent info on them i.e. type bow arrow etc. feel free.
All slurs and hate mail due to target size or hypertension that this shoot has caused you, can be sent to LBR, as we all know he is quite used to receiving this type of mail.

Crap! Apparently the mail system doesn't work very well if you try to post your targets by using the space between the console & the drivers seat as a mail box... (isn't there an icon for &quot;stupid&quot;?)

Anyway, Pat, thanks for sending me the targets. I'll still send them even though they'll miss the closing date.

if you can not get them to me in the mail before 03-01 email me the final score, your final score will not be considered eligible for prizes but it will give everyone a chance to put their NAME ON THE WALL OF SHAME!

You can always break a tie by going to &quot;inside-out&quot; scoring between the two people in question. In otherwords, rescore those two targets that if they touch the line it scores the worst of the two areas.

I hope it ain't me...I was a line-cutting SOB this time. :)

arrowsmit- don't worry you will always be at the bottom of my list. Sorry couldn't resist.

Anyone who got targets and DOES not return them or at least emails a score GETS a 60. Bad medicine, I know but hey I mailed em, you mail em back or email.
As far as the tie goes YOU will just have to wait until the first.
