Got My CRUSADER Today
 

My new (used) Crusader came in the mail today. WOW!! This bow is awesome!! It feels so good in my hands.

It's a 64" 56# @ 28" - Yew and Purple heart limbs with clear glass and a grey actionwood riser. My second group of 4 arrows I shot with it this afternoon was one of the tightest groups I've shot in a L O N G time.


Wahya, thanks for the heads-up on this bow.

Whew, I'm stoked. I'll have lots of questions and such as I get it set up. (Arrows, shelf material, strings, etc.)

You're welcome. I hope you get to love it as much as I do mine.

I placed seal skin on my rest and a thin piece of leather covers the strike plate. I didn't want anything thicker because my arrows are almost on the stiff side already. For a string material, I'd contact our favorite string maker here and get a couple of his DF97 flemish strings. They are the tops as far as I'm concerned. As far as arrows go, wait on them until you have the string you'll be using and your true weight at your draw figured out. Then when you're ready, order up some tuning arrows in different spine groups like 55-60, 60-65, 65-70 and so on depending on the weight of the bow and the length of arrow you'll need.

I cant thank LBR enuf...thats exactly what happend when I bought my new used crusader...got 2 now with possible plans for a 3rd ....well someday maybe LOL!

Can't so to much for the WHAT DID YOU CALL THAT oh yeah a GROUP! hahahahahahahahahheheheheheheh Just proddin ya a little.
It only gets WORSE. I am trying to get my FIX, hopefully Chek Mates Production will have some amazing increase in speed and I will have my takedown before next october.

Yeah,Pat, you're darn right I call it a group. Notice all the other holes in the target? <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> That's a drastic improvement. Oh yeah, the camo arrow on the right is pointed down a bit because the other one busted its nock.

Now, the humble pie part ... my next group knocked a couple holes in the fence behind the target. <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle> Why? Because my head was so swolen from the previous group it threw my point of aim WAY off. Hehehe
