confidence level goin up finally

Bought my Blackwidow in 2011... Kill a deer with it that fall... Got lucky!!! Hunted with it each fall after that and didn't kill anything just missed a lot... But 4 falls later I'm really starting to click with this bow... I feel pretty darn confident that anything 15 yards and under will take a ride in my truck...

How about anyone else... How long did it take you to get that confidence level up?

hard call there. Took me literally near 20 years to make my first big game kill with a traditional bow. Before that I'd shot gobs of fish and small game, won some pretty big tournaments, etc. so I knew I could make the shot. My problem was getting a shot opportunity.

By the time I got the shot, it was automatic--I didn't even think about it, just did it.

This is my first year back to trads and I'm starting to touch arrows at 20 yards but this first year back at it ; I have my Double Bull blind set up at 15 yards. I'll shoot a pig at twenty, but I certainly don't want to injure a deer.

Good luck this year.

I've not yet got a deer with the recurve. Waiting on the right opportunity. I limit myself to 15 yards currently. but feel good at that distance.
