New String Material...BCY-X

I keep thinking there's no way it can get better, they keep proving me wrong.

It was going to be "unveiled" at the 2014 ATA show, but folks have been so happy with the preliminary samples that they decided to go ahead and release it to the public. The full line of colors should be available within a couple of weeks.

BCY-X is 83% SK90 Dyneema, 13% Vectran. It should be as stable as a steel cable once shot in, shoots in quick, very durable, and thanks to the small diameter of the material (just a hair bigger than 8190) it's also very versitle...18-20 strands should work great for traditional bows 35# to 75# or more.

Initial test reports have been very positive, and as an added bonus folks are saying it's also quieter than other materials. Hoyt switched over to it within a week of trying it.

I've heard that brownell has a new material in the works called "Fury", but it's all "hush-hush". Haven't heard squat about it, don't know of any of the big manufacturers planning to use it. We'll see.
