New to this
I've wanted a recurve for a very long time and now I finally got one for Christmas, would anybody be willing to tell me some of the gear ill need to buy or tips for a beginner.

Yeap....you don't need a lot of "stuff", thats the beauty of it. I would just get what is mentioned above and go from there, just enjoy the shooting! Get familiar with you bow and make changes from there! Most of all, have fun while doing so!

just gota 60' bow off ebay a few months ago 2 see if this is tha direction I wana go ! hell ya it is!! now b4 I spend some hard 2 find now days bennys on a new bow can some1 tell me if a bow is rated @ 50# @28" draw ,about how many #'s do I add if my draw is 30"?

No wheels to worry about and all the high tech, that's the beauty!
Try out a finger tab and glove and see what you like best. Get a nice leather arm guard, and quiver. A nice set of cedar shafts to fit your bow, or whatever you prefer. Three Rivers Archery has a lot of goodies for the traditional people. Get your target set up and have some fun. Shoot a lot, and a lot, and alot of arrows this summer. Get into the rhythm. Have Fun! |
