Does anyone know how many inches it is from the hide of both an elk and a deer to the lungs?

well, it just depends on diet...like houston texas vs canada..yes all of canada lol

on a deer its a lil smaller, but hopefully that will give ya an idea.

I have been to that site, it doesn't give me what I am looking for. I just need an estimation like 4 or 6 inches is what I am thinking.

3" you should easily be into a lung...8" will get both. Not sure about elk
