New to hunting and bow hunting

I am new to hunting and bow hunting. I wanted to start bow hunting and i live in Texas. There are no weight limits here on traditional and recurve bows. I only want to hunt turkey. So getting to my question i am a small girl, i have a 38 pound recurve that i cant pull back. What is the minimum i can hunt a turkey with if i have good accuracy? To kill of course since there is no minimum here. i wanted to be able to do a 30# but obviously i cant do that. I havent used any other bow except for the one that i have.

Accuracy is only part of the equation. You also need good arrow flight, a reasonably heavy arrow, and a very sharp broadhead. I know a young lady who has killed a few deer pulling maybe 25# on a recurve, with a 400+ grain arrow and a very sharp Ace 2-blade broadhead. Arrows are Beman ICS Hunter Jr.'s fletched with feathers.
