Checkmate Bows?

Maybe LBR has already answered this, but where in Canada are Checkmate bows made and by whom? I recently acquired a 56 inch Attila and was just curious.

RE: Checkmate Bows?

They are made in British Columbia by Chek-Mate Archery Mfg. Marc Moriez is the bowyer there, his sister-in-law is his helper. Those two, and the two owners, make up Chek-Mate. If you need some info. on the bow, just shoot me an e-mail and I' ll see if I can help.

RE: Checkmate Bows?

Thanks for the information, Chad. That' ll do quite nicely.

In case you need an endorsement, I' ve never seen anything that comes close for the price. Both my Chastain Wapiti and Great Plainman are on consignment now, not because they' re not good bows but because I don' t need them anymore. I have a Checkmate, short, sweet, performs flawlessly. What more does one need?
