tube cutter for aluminum shafts

Anybody use a plumbing tube cutter to cut their arrow shafts?

I did when I used aluminum shafts.

I do. I've been using a tube cutter to cut my aluminum shafts for 45 years. They can bought at any hardware store like Ace, etc. They're also very inexpensive.

I imagine any big box store like Lowe's and Home Depot would have them too.

I used one along with a rat tail file to clean the inside burr.

Something different

I've done free lance cuts with a hand hacksaw. I used the hacksaw for other purposes, so that entered into the equation. I never owned an archery cutter.

I do on aluminum shafts, I also put a metal rod in the shaft when cutting new shafts or ones without inserts to get a better cut.

Used to. Finally wised up a few years ago and got a professional arrow saw.

I use a whizzer wheel mounted in a drill

I use one on aluminum shafts. Just take it slow and light on the screw. I use my RCBS deburring tool to ease the inside of the shaft after cutting.
