My first recurve bow

I bought a Sawick Sage break down recurve bow the other day found it for only $50 dollars so though I couldn't go wrong with it. This is my first ever traditional bow. Anyone have any input on this bow or any advice to give to a beginner traditional archer?

I've had several of them on my hands, just bought one to have for my shop (demo). I haven't seen anything that will touch them for the money. Obviously not a $1,000 custom job, but will kill critters just as dead.

Get good instruction. Masters of the Barebow lll is an excellent video. Can't think of an instructional book I'd recommend--can think of several I wouldn't.

Make sure the limbs are straight and ALWAYS use a bow stringer.Black Widow's TNT video covers set up,tuning and shooting well.
