i was un-stringing my bear kodiak hunter when, SNAP! it broke. I have been worried about this since i got it, but im just glad no fiberglass shot in my leg. the worst part is a told my dads friend (who gave me the bow) who is in his late 80's i would take a deer for him with it. :(
oh well, im just glad i didn't get hurt. i was just starting to shoot good with it to!!

Were you using a bow stringer or the old step through method?

now ya know why everyone stresses using a stringer.

glad your ok

Selway makes a great recurve stringer. My Martin Hunter came with one.The risk of twisting the limbs or worse using the step through method just isn't worth the few dollars you save going without one.Glad your OK.
